Rolex Perpetual 1908 – A Celebration of History and Elegance

In 2023, Rolex introduced the new Perpetual collection, with the inaugural Perpetual 1908 model, a tribute to the year Hans Wilsdorf coined the name "Rolex" and registered the brand in Switzerland. Available in 18k yellow or white gold, the Perpetual 1908 features a slim 39 mm case, crowned by a bezel that is domed at the top and finely fluted at the bottom. The curve of the lugs is further enhanced by a subtle chamfering on the upper edges, a design detail that lends refinement to this timepiece. The elegant dial, available in white or deep black, is decorated with Arabic numerals at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock, and faceted indexes. A subcompax seconds dial at 6 o'clock, with the curved "Superlative Chronometer" inscription, pleasantly recalls vintage models. The hands are equally distinctive: the hour hand features a circle just before the tip, while the minute hand is shaped like a double-edged "sword."
