Want to Sell a Watch? Here's Why You Should Appraise It First
Setting a price before identifying the watch properly is easy: find a similar advertisement, copy its amount and start negotiating from an incomplete comparison. Build a description that can withstand an informed buyer's questions first.
Separate facts from expectations
Check the reference, configuration and condition as far as possible. List paperwork, accessories, servicing and known defects. Disclosing a replacement component at the start is better than explaining it late in a negotiation.
Choose the selling route too. An immediate dealer offer and a retail asking price involve different times, costs and responsibilities. They are not necessarily contradictory assessments.
Give the figure context
Request the appraisal date, relevant comparisons and assumptions. A range may reflect unresolved condition questions; a precise figure is not automatically more reliable.
Resolve authenticity and component doubts before discussing price. Watch And Check can support those checks. Selling value requires a separate commercial assessment: the app does not calculate it automatically, and advice is not a purchase commitment.
