Purchase of Watches
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
The purchase of watches by distance selling is governed by the applicable laws and regulations.
Customers purchasing remotely may exercise their right of withdrawal within fourteen (14) days from the date on which the item is delivered.
Your purchase is protected by a satisfaction-or-refund policy within fourteen days from receipt of the watch, exclusively for customers located in EU countries.
Customers located outside the European Union are not eligible for this policy for customs-related reasons.
In the event of withdrawal, all packaging, insurance and shipping costs shall be borne by the customer.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods collected in person.
Before the withdrawal period expires, the consumer must inform the Company of their decision to withdraw from the contract.
Once such notice has been received, the consumer may return the item by post or courier, taking care to package it appropriately.
Following receipt and inspection of the returned item, Watch And Check will issue a refund equal to the purchase price of the watch, excluding shipping costs.
The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed.
In the event of damage, alteration, tampering or deterioration of the returned goods, Watch And Check reserves the right to apply any reduction to the refundable amount permitted by applicable law.
PAYMENT METHOD
For online purchases, the only accepted payment method is bank transfer.
DEPOSIT AND RESERVED ORDER POLICY
Watches may be reserved free of charge for up to 72 hours.
After this period, a deposit equal to 5% of the total purchase price of the watch is required, payable by bank transfer.
The deposit will be refunded if the customer does not complete the purchase within 7 days from payment of the deposit.
After the 7-day period has expired, the deposit will no longer be refundable and the watch will once again become available for sale through our website or other sales channels used by Watch And Check.
The free 72-hour reservation expires without any penalty for customers who decide not to proceed with the purchase.
SHIPPING
Once payment has been received, the goods will normally be shipped within 24/48 hours and delivered to the address indicated on the purchase invoice.
Shipping is completely free for every watch listed on our website, unless otherwise stated.
Each package is shipped through a secure delivery service and is fully insured and traceable.
Should the customer notice any anomalies or irregularities concerning the delivery of the package, they are requested to notify Watch And Check immediately so that the relevant courier may be contacted without delay.
Warranty
Watch And Check provides a 1-year warranty covering the correct functioning of the movement, starting from the date of issue of the sales invoice or receipt.
Unless otherwise expressly stated, the following are excluded from the warranty:
In the event of loss of the warranty document or purchase invoice/receipt, or in the event of any alteration or tampering with such documentation, the warranty may be considered void to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Terms and Conditions for the Use of the Watch And Check App
Introduction
Access to the database consultation service through the “Watch And Check” application is governed by these Terms and Conditions.
With regard to the information contained in the database, Watch And Check does not guarantee that all information provided is complete, error-free or up to date at all times.
The information available within Watch And Check has not been confirmed or validated by Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Rolex or any other manufacturers that may be mentioned, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Watch And Check is a collection of data developed through years of study, research, analysis, comparison, documentary collection and statistical analysis of examined watches, photographs, archives, catalogues, auction records, public sources and other information sources.
Although we consider such data to be of significant informational and collecting value, we strongly recommend that users independently verify the accuracy and current validity of the information, including through official sources of the respective manufacturers.
1. Acceptance of the Terms
By using the Application, the User declares that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
If the User does not wish to accept them, they must discontinue use of the Application.
2. Amendments to the Terms
Timetek S.r.l. reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions.
Any amendments will be made available through the website, the Application or other means deemed appropriate.
Continued use of the Services after the amendments become effective shall constitute acceptance of the amended Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
3. Use of the Application
The Application is licensed for personal and non-commercial use only, unless otherwise authorised in writing by Timetek S.r.l.
The User agrees not to use the Application for illegal, abusive, fraudulent, competitive or unauthorised purposes.
The User must provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering for and using the Application.
4. Registration and Access
The User must register an account in order to access those features of the Application that require authentication.
The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
Access to the account is limited to one device at a time, unless otherwise specified.
The device associated with the account may only be changed once every 3 (three) days.
Login credentials are personal and may not be transferred, sold, shared or made available to third parties.
5. Usage Restrictions
The User agrees not to attempt to circumvent the Application’s security measures, technical restrictions, authentication systems or any other measures implemented to protect the Services.
The User may not use the Service in any manner that could impair, overload, damage or interfere with the proper functioning of the Application, servers or related infrastructure.
6. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the content available through the website, the Watch And Check Application and the related Services, including but not limited to:
is owned by Timetek S.r.l. or is used on the basis of licences, authorisations or other lawful rights.
Where applicable, such content is protected by Italian, European and international laws relating to copyright, industrial property, database protection, unfair competition and protection of know-how.
Access to the Services does not result in any transfer to the User of intellectual property or industrial property rights.
7. Watch And Check Database
The collection, selection, verification, organisation, classification, correlation and presentation of information contained within Watch And Check are the result of a substantial investment made by Timetek S.r.l. in terms of:

8. Prohibition on Extraction and Reuse of the Database
Unless prior written authorisation is obtained from Timetek S.r.l., any activity aimed at the following is expressly prohibited:

This prohibition applies both to the extraction of substantial portions of the database and to the repeated or systematic extraction or reuse of individually insubstantial portions where such activity, considered as a whole, is incompatible with the normal use of the Service or may prejudice the interests of Timetek S.r.l.
The use of Watch And Check data to reconstruct, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, an alternative or competing database is prohibited.
9. Prohibition on Scraping and Automated Data Collection

16. Watermarks, Markers and Tracking Systems

The information contained in the database must not be considered an official certification issued by watch manufacturers, unless expressly stated otherwise.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Timetek S.r.l. does not guarantee the absolute absence of errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the information provided.
The User remains responsible for their own assessments and decisions relating to the purchase, sale, authentication, valuation or use of a watch.
23. Termination
Timetek S.r.l. reserves the right to suspend or revoke access to the Application in the event of a breach of these Terms or for other justified reasons, in accordance with applicable law.
24. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by and interpreted in accordance with Italian law, without prejudice to any mandatory rights granted to consumers under applicable legislation.
Terms and Conditions for Online Consultations – “Ask the Expert”
The “Ask the Expert” online consultation service provides professional assistance from Watch And Check experts regarding vintage and modern Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet watches.
A response is normally provided within 48 business hours from receipt of payment and all information required for the assessment.
Advance payment is required in order to initiate the consultation process.
The customer must complete payment in full before the service is provided.
The 48 business hours are calculated excluding weekends and public holidays.
The response provided will be personalised on the basis of the information, photographs and documentation supplied by the customer.
The quality and reliability of the assessment may depend on the quality, completeness and accuracy of the information provided.
Refund Policy – Ask the Expert
If Watch And Check is unable to provide a response to the request within 72 hours, the customer shall be entitled to a full refund of the amount paid, unless different conditions have been communicated to and accepted by the customer.
The customer may not substantially modify the consultation request once it has been submitted, unless agreed with Watch And Check.
The information provided as part of the service constitutes a professional assessment carried out on the basis of the data and images available.
Except where otherwise mandatorily required by law, Watch And Check shall not be held liable for commercial decisions, purchases, sales or other transactions independently carried out by the customer on the basis of the consultation received.
By accepting these Terms and Conditions, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted all the provisions contained herein.
